Description

It’s a harvest festival and is celebrated with various cultural variations. People take ritual baths in rivers like the Ganges, visit temples, fly kites, exchange sweets made of sesame and jaggery, and perform charitable acts. In some parts, it’s also known as Pongal, Lohri, Uttarayan, or Magh Bihu.
